About Us
Barry has been part of the GoCruise family since 2019. Hazel became more involved in 2024, joining Barry in this exciting journey as she approaches retirement from her busy role within the NHS. She is eager to share her love for travel with you and get involved in the cruise business day-to-day. As a CLIA (Cruise Line International Association) accredited 'Cruise Master,' Barry, now joined by Hazel, has spent many years exploring the world's most beautiful destinations by sea.
Our Favourite Destinations
When asked about her favourite cruise destination, Hazel shared her love for the enchanting Greek Isles. There's nothing quite like the charm of ancient ruins, picturesque villages, and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Hazel would love to chat over a coffee about all things Mediterranean to help you experience the magic of the Greek Isles and more on your next cruise adventure.
Barry, whilst also enjoying Greek island cruises with Hazel, loves escaping the winter cold to soak up the Caribbean sun, swim in turquoise waters, and explore exotic locales. From relaxing on pristine beaches to discovering vibrant cultures, Barry has cruised many times with the family, and cruise trade familiarisation trips to the Caribbean and can help you find the perfect getaway, be it western, eastern, southern, or circular Caribbean cruise routes.
Together, we offer a wealth of cruise knowledge and a genuine passion for helping you create unforgettable memories. Whether you're dreaming of a romantic getaway, a family adventure, group cruise or a solo escape, we have the insights and expertise to tailor the perfect cruise for you.
Our Favourite Cruise ship
Hazel and I love Cunard and QM2 in particular for our own holidays... we just love the quality, space onboard and service levels all served up in traditional British style.
Our son's favourites include Virgin Voyages and Carnival for the fun and younger crowd onboard, so whilst they are now well into their twenties, they never turn down the chance to join us onboard once or twice a year be it local UK, Med or Caribbean sailings.
When we have multi-generation family members with us, we enjoy sailing on Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and P & O ships in the Caribbean for the fun, sun and beach destinations and try and get to enjoy a week or two most January's as a way to relax after the hectic Christmas/New Year period and also escape the January blues.
For a spring, summer and autumn break, we look towards the Med and Fjords for cruising and often bolt on a pre or post-cruise tour with one of our land-based travel partners and we can help you with these cruise and stay holiday options too.

Next on our Wish List
I am sure you are no different to us... we have lots of places we wish to visit for the first time... and as many we wish to revisit. Our bucket list is ever growing and includes cruises to:
- Easter Island
- Alaska with Rocky Mountaineer tour
- The Nile with AmaWaterways including their land tour excursions in Jordan (for Petra) and Egypt
- Asian Rivers with Pandaw
- Around the World... potentially in stages via World Cruise segments so we can enjoy the experience over several years.
and to revisit...
- Florida to California coast, via the Panama Canal visiting family on the way
- Rio Carnival.. what a spectacle
- magical Greek Isles and more of the wider Mediterranean region
- Spend longer cruising the Caribbean over winter
- River cruising more around Bordeaux for the wine tasting
